Last week I had the kids help me plant garlic. You can just use a regular clove from the grocery store. It is a great thing to plant with kids because it is done in the fall, when there’s not as much else to do, and the individual cloves are quite large. None of this accidentally losing a handfull. We put it in the front flower bed, which is fairly dry and quite sunny. If all goes well, it should sprout in the spring and be ready to harvest sometime next summer.
